Alpha Networks Shows Steady Growth in 2023, Amplifying Group Synergies

Major network communication manufacturer Alpha Networks (TWSE:3380) hosted its investor conference today (1) to announce the operating condition and prospects. Factors such as the improvement of material shortage and logistics drove the growth of annual sales revenue and achieved a consolidated revenue of NTD33.634 billion in 2022, showing a YOY growth of 20.72 %. The optimization of product portfolio and improvement of production efficiency contributed to an 18.6% increase of gross margin in 2022, marking a 2.1% growth compared to last year. Alpha Network also achieved an annual consolidated operating profit of NTD 1.715 billion in 2022, increasing by 1.005 billion over the previous year, with an operating profit ratio of 5.1%. The consolidated profit after tax was NTD 1.158 billion and CNIS (consolidated net income attributed to stockholders of the company) was NTD 917 million. The EPS is NTD 1.69.

Looking to the product revenue share of 2022, LAN/MAN lineup takes 39%, increasing 7% from 2021. Besides stable output, the rush to AI and big data brings more challenges to transmission speed and thus drives the boom of data center implementation. It is foreseeable the annual revenue of switch this year will maintain a steady growth. The wireless broadband line dominates consolidated revenue share by 50%, 4% more than 2021. Besides existing product lines, Alpha Networks continues to invest in private 5G networks and other related fields. In the meantime, the production-ready multimedia product lines in Vietnam base and mass production of new customer products expect to boost the growth in 2023. Alpha Networks also demonstrates outstanding performance in the development of new products as well as new fields and proactively gets involved in low-earth-orbit satellite to ensure continuous growth.

In addition to strengthening the competitiveness of core business, Alpha Networks is dedicated to improving corporate sustainability management and was honored Silver Award in Sustainability Report Category-Electric Information Manufacturing in the 15th TCSA (Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award). Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Alpha Networks combines ESG to social welfare under the leadership of Chairwoman Huang Wen-Fang and aims to commemorate the next 20th anniversary through company growth realized by sustainable management.

According to Chairperson April Huang, Alpha Networks is expected to continue growing in 2023. Leveraging key development concepts of “balanced market strategies” and “amplify group synergies combining Alpha Networks and Hitron”, besides continuous cultivation of existing markets, the company targets new markets including Europe, ASEAN and South America with rich product lines and balanced regional development. In addition to “strengthening” existing business and product portfolio, Alpha Networks actively “expands” new channels and markets by offering “innovative” 5G products/services as well as enhancing services of cloud management platform.
