The Power of Knowledge in Action: ALPHA Networks Cultural & Educational Foundation Bridging the Education Gap

In an era of rapid technological advancement, educational resources remain unevenly distributed. Guided by its mission of “advancing education through communication technologies,” the ALPHA Networks Cultural & Educational Foundation has long been committed to promoting educational equity. By leveraging the company’s technological expertise and social engagement, the Foundation strives to open new learning horizons for children in underserved communities.

Over the years, the Foundation has observed a persistent disparity between urban and rural learning environments. Students in remote areas often progress at only one-third the pace of their urban counterparts, facing shortages of teaching materials, equipment, and stimulating learning environments. In response to these challenges, ALPHA Networks chooses action—engaging hands-on and applying technology education to help children see a broader world.

Volunteer Action × Technology Education

This year, ALPHA Networks’ volunteer team partnered with iBE International Co., Ltd. to transform communication technologies into engaging science-based learning experiences. By integrating ALPHA Networks’ core technologies into everyday science education, the program enables students to explore concepts such as signal transmission and wireless communication through simple materials and hands-on experiments. Learning becomes playful, curiosity-driven, and empowering—encouraging children to explore the unknown with confidence.

The volunteer team visited Dahhu Elementary School in Xiangshan District, Hsinchu City—a small school with only 53 students. Despite its urban location, the school faces challenges similar to those of rural institutions. The program was conducted as a mixed-grade class for students from grades one to four. Through collaboration and peer learning, students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and learning capacity: older students guided younger ones through experiments, while all actively participated, asked questions, and shared their ideas.

Teachers noted that the program not only sparked students’ curiosity and self-confidence, but also provided educators with fresh inspiration. The learning model will continue to be incorporated into classroom instruction and science fair preparation.
