Alpha Networks collaborates with Chunghwa Telecom and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) to demonstrate private 5G network applications at the Smart City Summit & Expo

Alpha Networks' 5G network solutions include a Radio Unit (RU), Distributed Unit (DU), and Centralized Unit (CU), where the edge computing system of Chunghwa Telecom's 5G Intelligent A+ and NYCU's free5GC core network is consolidated to showcase 5G applications at this year's Smart City Summit & Expo via the use of robots. The exhibit demonstrates that the private 5G network caters to advantages such as high bandwidth, low latency, and enhanced data transmission security.

After collaborating with NYCU to sign a contract for leasing the private 5G N79 network in late 2020, Alpha Networks was invited by Chunghwa Telecom at the Smart City Summit & Expo to integrate the company's edge computing system, improving the diversity and strength of the private 5G network lineup. Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) operating in the private 5G network can be applied to fields such as smart factories, smart warehousing, and smart healthcare.

According to Alpha Networks General Manager Lin Yu-Chin, the private 5G network is an inevitable trend, and a plethora of applications has emerged. Alpha Networks offers end-to-end solutions ranging from RU, CU, DU to core network that can be used by the clients to form their private networks, or they can collaborate with other industry players to form private networks, allowing for flexible adjustments to accommodate the scenarios and the clients' needs. It is a privilege to join forces with Chunghwa Telecom and NYCU, where the interconnections between equipment were fine-tuned during the preparation process. Seeing such successful demonstration today, we are confident that we can work closely with various partners to design customized, localized private 5G networks for domestic/overseas factories, hospitals, and areas that require the use of private networks, in turn transforming the monopolization of the communications industry by major international manufacturers and seize private 5G network-related business opportunities.

TransNet, a subsidiary of Alpha Networks, also showcased its private 5G network solutions and Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) green transmission solutions to echo the vision of smart park factories and offices as well as urban renewal.
