Alpha Networks has won an award in the Large Enterprise - Manufacturing category of the 6th “Corporate Health Responsibility (CHR) Awards” (2024) hosted by the CommonHealth Magazine. The award recognizes the tremendous efforts we have made in all areas in promoting employee health and talent development.
An unprecedented level of competition for talent and manpower has now broken out across the world. Now, global recruitment not only competes on salary and benefits. Employee expectations on corporate support for personal physical and mental well-being, and whether a company is an outstanding enterprise in CHR are all factors that now weigh heavily in talented people’s decision to stay or go. Prevention of chronic physical and mental illness is critical to healthy productivity. The promotion of “true workplace health” by paying attention to the physical, mental, spiritual, and social functions of employees is now a new metric of corporate sustainability.
The turnover rate at Alpha Networks Inc. is relatively low compared to its peers in the network communications industry. Most employees have been with the company for a long time. For example, the average seniority among the 1000 employees at Hsinchu headquarters exceeds 10 years. Employees are willing to stay for the long-haul because of the people-centric management approach at the Company. At the same time, as the Company continues to grow, employees are also aging. Over 45% of the staff (Hsinchu headquarters) are middle aged at 45 years old, and this percentage may increase to over 50% within the next two years. Middle-aged people have more health concerns than young people, with those over the age of 45 in particular at high risk of “Metabolic Syndrome.” The top 10 anomalies picked up during health exams were generally related to “high blood pressure/cholesterol/blood sugar”, “obesity/deficiency of good cholesterol”, or “metabolic syndrome” issues.
Therefore, we promote physical and mental well-being through diverse activities carried out to extend our caring from work to play to realize a win-win outcome for business and individual development. We actively promote the incorporation of healthcare into employee lifestyles, and take preventive action to cultivate good lifestyle choices to reduce the pressure of healthcare.
