Alpha Network Leverages the Power of Network Communications to Promote Elementary School Science Education

The Alpha Foundation has embraced “mobile communication at the core of its operation” as its mission. The Foundation hopes this year to engage students in multi-disciplinary learning through a combination of tech know-how and volunteer service. We also hope that the promotion of technology education will help connect them with the rest of the world. Volunteers from Alpha Networks brainstormed together to produce fun and simple communications science experiments based on the company’s own communications expertise. The new education resources will hopefully inspire student interest in learning.

The Alpha Foundation is taking the long-view in designing courses where older students mentor younger students. The communications technology education experiments conducted at the affiliated elementary school of Shu Guang Girls’ Senior High School were very well-received by students from the middle grades. At the same time, we also found that there was a widespread shortage of science teachers at the elementary school level. Particular attention was therefore paid during design to difficulty of science experiments to help train the teachers and prepare them for the development of natural science education in subsequent semesters.

In the future, the Alpha Foundation will continue to fulfill the CSR philosophy by partnering with more institutions, organizations, and other units. We hope to leverage our internal corporate resources and power as well as our expertise in network communications to make a substantive contribution to society.
