Alpha Networks Inc. (3380), the leading network communications vendor, announced at its 2025 Annual General Shareholders Meeting today (5/27) its 2024 results: Consolidated revenue for the year was NT$21.444 billion, consolidated gross margin was 18.3%, and consolidated operating margin was NT$108 million; net profit attributable to the owners of the parent company amounted to NT$219 million. The distribution of cash dividends amount to NT$0.5 per share from 2024 earnings, and NT$0.5 per share from the capital surplus.
Multiple factors including global inflation, conflict, and slower-than-expected adjustments to customer-side inventories over the past year all led to a decline in 2024 business performance compared to the preceding year. Internally, Alpha Networks made proactive optimizations to the factory capacity. Manufacturing operations in China were successfully consolidated and productivity enhanced; externally, Alpha Networks continued develop new leads and broke into new markets such as India. Services for existing customers were also strengthened so there was just a difference of 0.1% in the gross margin compared to the preceding year. Additionally, long-term equity investments were used by the Company to expand its communications business portfolio through telecommunications-grade digital microwave communication technologies and products.
Alpha Networks’ product strategy in 2025 saw not only an increase in 400G switch shipments but also the mass production of 800G switches. Pre-production samples of 1.6T switches for data center-level applications should be ready by the end of the year. For wired and wireless communication products, demand from DOCSIS 4.0 has materialized and shipments of WiFi-7 products will continue to grow over successive quarters. In terms of new market development, demand from broadband infrastructure developments in India means Alpha Networks will continue to focus on growing the Indian market this year and this should become a new source of revenue growth for the whole year.
Shipments of key products will continue to gather momentum in the second half of the year. Alpha Networks is also actively moving into emerging telecommunications market and accelerating the development of high-end products. Overall performance so far has led to the Company adopting an attitude of cautious optimism to future business developments this year.
At the same time, Alpha Network is committed to becoming a sustainable enterprise that embraces diversity, inclusiveness, and environmental friendliness. Awards won by Alpha Networks in 2024 included two major awards for “Sustainability Comprehensive Performance Award - Excellent Company” and “Corporate Sustainability Reports - Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry - Category 1 Gold Award” at the 17th TCSA Awards, an award at the 6th “Corporate Health Responsibility (CHR) Award” hosted by the CommonHealth magazine, and the “CommonHealth Talent Award.” Alpha Networks will continue fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
