Alpha Networks Wins 2 TCSA Accolades and will Continue to Promote Low-carbon Supply Chain Transformation
Leading network communications vendor Alpha Networks (TWSE: 3380) has been recognized with two major awards at the 16th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA 2023). The awards included the “Sustainability Comprehensive Performance Award - Top 100 Taiwanese Sustainable Corporates Award” and “Corporate Sustainability Reports - Gold Award in the First Category (Electronics and Information Technology Manufacturing Industry).” The awards were presented at an award ceremony held with much fanfare today (11/15) at the Grand Hotel Taipei. Hitron (TWSE: 2419), an Alpha Networks subsidiary, also won the “Corporate Sustainability Reports - Silver Award in the First Category (Electronics and Information Technology Manufacturing Industry).” The list of TCSA winners not only serve as an important benchmark to investors on ESG investments but also plays a critical role in social stability and progress in Taiwan.
Alpha Networks Chief Sustainability Officer Morgan Chiu stated that the topic of climate change is now a global issue. Alpha Networks has invested in environmental initiatives, such as electricity conservation, carbon reduction, water conservation and waste reduction. The Company is also committed to a 30% decrease in the carbon emissions of its supply chain by 2030, RE100 by 2040 and realizing Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050. Alpha Networks is refining all of its sustainability practices, so that they support more advanced SDGs and fulfill the diversity value of ESG.
A “Supplier Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Conference” will also be held by Alpha Networks at its Hsinchu headquarters on November 17, 2023. During the conference, Alpha Network will announce that it is joining forces with suppliers on sustainability advocacy and share its five-step carbon reduction process, including “Green Energy,” “Supply Chain Carbon Reduction,” “Green Operations Carbon Footprint,” “Green Transformation Platform” and “Benefits of International Carbon Reduction Advocacy.” Experts from the Industrial Bureau and Institute for Information Industry will be on hand to share their hands-on experiences with carbon reduction and the global trend. Hopefully, we can make a contribution to environmental sustainability together and work with our suppliers. We will do our part for environmental sustainability, build a sustainable supply-chain in the mine and advance towards the common goal of carbon reduction.
