Leading network communications vendor Alpha Networks Inc. (3380) hosted an institutional investor conference today (3/3) to outline the Company’s business situation and future prospects. In 2024, consolidated revenue for the whole year amounted to NT$21.444 billion with a profit margin of 18.3% and consolidated operating profits amounted to NT$108 million for an operating profit margin of 0.5%. Consolidated net income after tax was NT$342 million with NT$219 million being attributed to the parent company. Earnings per share was NT$0.4.
The continued weakness in market demand and slow pace of inventory adjustments on the customer-side in 2024 led to a decline in overall revenue compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, cost-cutting measures such as adjustment of product portfolios and consolidation of production sites minimized decreases in the profit margin to 0.1%.
Alpha Networks’ product strategy in 2025 will see not only an increase in 400G switch shipments but also the mass production of 800G switches. Pre-production samples of 1.6T switches for data center-level applications are expected to arrive by the end of the year. New Japanese customers for switches are also being actively developed with initial shipments expected by the end of the year as well. On the wired and wireless communication product front, demand from DOCSIS 4.0 is expected to materialize in Q1 while shipments of WiFi-7 products will continue to grow over subsequent quarters. In terms of the development of new markets, demand from broadband infrastructure developments in India will see Alpha Networks expand the Indian market more aggressively in 2025. Small contributions to revenue are expected to commence in Q1 and will hopefully become a new source of revenue growth for the whole year.
At the same time, Alpha Network is committed to becoming a sustainable enterprise that embraces diversity, inclusiveness, and environmental friendliness. Awards won by Alpha Networks in 2024 included two major awards for “Sustainability Comprehensive Performance Award - Excellent Company” and “Corporate Sustainability Reports - Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry - Category 1 Gold Award” at the 17th TCSA Awards, an award at the 6th “Corporate Health Responsibility (CHR) Award” hosted by the CommonHealth magazine, and the “CommonHealth Talent Award.” Alpha Networks will continue fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
